In order for one of the biggest boxing events in history ever to get done, it's going to take some good old fashioned negotiations. The best way for this to happen is for the 4 men, Pacquiao, Arum, Mayweather, and Al Haymon to sit down in a closed room and talk. Right now there are too many people up in the way. These 4 men should face each other in a closed door conference and talk it all out.
If Floyd Mayweather Jr has stipulations, he should have to look Manny and Arum in the eye and state them. If Manny Pacquiao has issues with random blood testing up until the day of the fight, then he should face Mayweather and Haymon and state his case. Let the 4 men hash it out and find some common ground so that the boxing fans can finally get to see the two best fighters in the world go at it.
I for one do not think that Pacquiao is taking any performance enhancing drugs, but that's me. If in fact he is not, then why pass up 40 to 50 million dollars? On the flip, if Manny agrees to the random testing up until the day of the fight, Mayweather should not add any other barriers that could hold up this fight.
From all accounts, and from what all I have been told and heard, Pacquiao has agreed to test, but not all the way up to the day of the fight. There was some word that Mayweather asked for 100 million to fight Pacquiao. If that's true, that is ridiculous and it's just a way to price out of the fight. These are the types of things that make modern day boxing a joke. Both of these men with their promoter/manager just need to sit down and face each other, and talk it out and get it done.
When I was at the TNA wrestling show here in Jackson, MS last Saturday, I had a chance to talk to some of the fans about boxing. Most of course were wrestling fans, but many of them like boxing and MMA as well. I talked to Timothy Haynes of Jackson, MS who is a huge Pacquiao fan. Haynes expressed his feelings on the whole Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao saga, "i dont now man, I just want to see the fight happen. I mean whatever the two sides need to do, they need to do it."
I aso spoke with former WWE wrestlng star D Lo Brown, " I hope that fight happens, I love Manny Pacquiao."
The 4 men just need to sit down, talk, and negotiate. Let's get this fight done!
