Although Manny Pacquiao is my boxing favorite and hero. I still don't quite understand why he's refusing blood test for their supposed to be fight with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. which obviously will not happen because of this controversial blood test. Here are 2 of my reasons why I'm doubting Manny Pacquiao's lame excuse for the blood test. First, he claims that he will feel weak after the blood test which, by the way, was his reason for his loss against Erik Morales (SEE YOU TUBE VIDEO BELOW from DStyleBoxing). Secondly, Manny Pacquiao claimed to be scared of needles. Manny Pacquiao, how can you be scared of needles if you have tattoos on your body, LOL!!!! Can you explain please?
First of all Floyd had no right to demand a blood test from Manny - that's what boxing committees are for. Second, Manny did not refuse a blood test; as a matter of fact he offered a compromise (no later than 24 days before and immediately after the fight) but Floyd declined. Third, Manny has never tested positive of drug use. If Floyd suspects that Manny uses PEDs then the burden of proof should be on him not on Manny.
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right, however, the burden of proof shouldn't be on Floyd alone. Why? Here are my reasons: Just before their scheduled fight to be, Manny Pacquiao wanted to use 8 ounce gloves for punching power, while Floyd wanted to use 10 once gloves-end result...Floyd agreed to use 8 ounce gloves. Second, Manny wanted to fight at 143 and Floyd wanted to fight at 147, Manny declined at 147 but wanted Floyd to drop to 145 as a catch weight...again Floyd agreed. Third, Floyd wanted 60% of prize money for the fight. Manny Pacquiao said No...again, Floyd finally agreed with Manny's 50-50 prize money. Fourth, Floyd wanted blood test, Manny declined again. Just to clarify my blog post, Manny did agree to do blood test, but refused to do "RANDOM BLOOD TESTING". The olympic style random blood testing is required because certain performance enhancing drugs like HGH only stays in your body for 24 hours, or even less if you have a small physique like Manny, then it will stay less than 24 hours. Manny is still my idol, which is why I created this blog for his fans. However, one shouldn't be blamed for the fight not being able to materialize.
